We work with small businesses from many industries. Whether just starting out or a seasoned, long time business owner, we will evaluate the needs and provide recommendations.
We do not provide any legal advice nor tax preparation or tax advice.
Ideally, our bookkeeping team will need access to the business' bank and credit card accounts in order to efficiently complete the monthly financials. Many banks allow for accountant's access (read-only). This access helps us keep our fees affordable and efficiency high. This will also alleviate having to send/receive statements through an unsecured email.
We do require the bank and credit card accounts be connected to the Quickbooks Online (QBO) account.
A list of other items needed relating to the specific business will be forwarded after an agreement is accepted.
No, as this can be set up after an agreement is accepted. Our team uses Quickbooks Online exclusively. Acceptable versions are Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, or Advanced. QBO Self Employed is not acceptable as this does not allow for accountant services.
If the business owner already has a current subscription, the business owner would need to invite Sharon Bailey as their accountant (email: sharon@baileysbooksllc.com.) (Gear Icon >Manage Users > Accounting Firms > Invite Accountant)
If a QBO subscription is needed, click on the link provided at the bottom of the first page. This will allow a discount on any QBO subscription.
We strive to respond to our clients questions or concerns within 24 hours, excluding weekends and observed holidays. We do use M-F 9-4 work hours to address emails and phone calls.
A contract is not required for bookkeeping services; however, we do require a proposal and engagement agreement (terms of service) to be signed.
